The UAE Ministry of Finance and the Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE) officially signed the host agreement for the 2029 World Bank Group–IMF Annual Meetings in a ceremony held at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center. The ceremony marked the occasion when Thailand’s hosting of the 2026 Annual Meetings had come to an end, with the formal handover to the United Arab Emirates as the next host country in 2029.

In its role as host country, Thailand underscored the imperative of responsible innovation and driving the “Bangkok Blueprint” guiding principles to combat cross-border digital financial fraud effectively.
