As part of the 2026 Annual Meetings in Bangkok,Thailand. Media and journalists attending the event must follow the procedures outlined below.

Media Registration
Thai and Thailand-based foreign media who plan to attend the 2026 IMF–World Bank Group Annual Meetings may now register online, from today through September 25, 2026, free of charge. Please refer to the checklist below for the registration procedure and required documents. For international media based outside Thailand, information on registration will be updated later.
Media Procedure
Temporary Entry of Audio‑Visual Equipment
Media representatives bringing audio‑visual equipment into Thailand must declare such equipment upon arrival to Thai Customs.
Journalists are required to download, complete, and sign the Temporary Entry Form for Audio‑Visual Equipment available on the official AM2026 media portal.

Filming & Recording
Filming and Recording Inside Venue
Media filming inside the official venues must adhere to access and accreditation rules set by the IMF, World Bank, and Thai host authorities. Specific media zones and press conference areas will be designated.

Filming and Recording Outside Venue
Filming or video production outside official venues requires prior notification to Thai authorities, especially in locations of political significance.
Requests must include:
- Subject and purpose of filming
- Locations
- Brief synopsis
- Crew details and equipment list

Cultural & Legal
Cultural and Legal Considerations in Thailand
- Respect for the Monarchy: Any disrespectful representation of the Thai Royal Family is a serious criminal offense under Thai law.
- Religious Sites: When filming in temples or religious areas, proper attire and respectful conduct are mandatory.
- Prohibited Content: Filming involving sensitive / violent content may be restricted.
- Drones: Use of drones requires prior authorization from the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT).
