Commute and Security at QSNCC

Traffic management around the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center on 15 October 2026

To enhance security and facilitate the smooth conduct of the high-level 2026 IMF–World Bank Group Annual Meetings, the Organizing Event Committee would like to announce the following traffic arrangements:

  • Road closures: Both sides of Ratchadaphisek road will be closed to traffic between Asok Montri Intersection and Rama IV Intersection.
  • MRT services: Queen Sirikit National Convention Center MRT Station will remain open and operate as usual.
  • Local access: Residents and people working in the area will be able to enter and exit as usual.
  • Meeting participants: Participants with valid badges will be able to access the meeting venue as usual.
  • Authorized vehicles: Vehicles with valid placards will be permitted to enter the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center in accordance with the designated security measures.
  • Passenger drop-off: Private cars and taxis may drop off meeting participants at designated points outside the security perimeter, near Asok Montri Intersection or Rama IV Intersection.

For Meeting Participants

Participants are encouraged to use the MRT or the event's shuttle bus services. The public is kindly requested to plan their journeys in advance and avoid the affected routes.

We apologize for any inconvenience caused. Please follow the meeting's official communication channels for the latest updates.

In light of heightened security measures for the Annual Meetings, the authorities will implement road closures and traffic restrictions in the vicinity of the QSNCC. Participants are encouraged to plan accordingly and allow additional travel time to and from the venue.

Transportation

  • Participants are strongly encouraged to use the official Annual Meetings shuttle service for travel to and from the QSNCC. Shuttle operations will begin at 5:00 a.m. Participants who are not staying at the 21 official hotels are strongly encouraged to travel to a hotel of their convenience to board the official shuttles. Click here for the list of the official hotels and shuttle routes.
  • Vehicles displaying official Annual Meetings placards will be routed through designated entrances to the QSNCC campus.
  • Participants should allow ample travel time to account for traffic and security measures and to ensure timely arrival for scheduled engagements.
  • Participants who do not have access to the shuttle service are encouraged to use the MRT.
  • Private vehicles and taxis carrying a passenger displaying an official Annual Meetings badge will be dropped off outside the security perimeter of the QSNCC.

Badges and Access

  • Strict Annual Meetings badge enforcement will be in place. Participants without an official Annual Meetings badge will not be permitted to board shuttles or enter the QSNCC campus.
  • Participants who have not yet collected their badge must present their registration confirmation letter to board shuttles and access registration areas. Registration will open at 6:30 a.m. to facilitate badge pickup.

Updates will be provided to participants via email and the joint app. If you haven’t already, Download the IMF | World Bank Meetings App from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store .
