Ministry of Finance and WEF Convene Global Finance Leaders to Connect Capital and Public–Private Partnerships Amid Global Economic Fragmentation

Thailand’s Ministry of Finance, in partnership with the World Economic Forum (WEF), hosted the World Economic Forum–Thai Ministry of Finance Dinner at the Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit in Bangkok during the 2026 IMF–World Bank Group Annual Meetings. The dinner was honoured by the presence of Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister of Thailand, and brought together senior executives from financial institutions, international organisations, leading corporations, and policymakers from around the world to exchange perspectives and strengthen public–private partnerships amid an increasingly complex and fragmented global economy.

Held under the theme “Connecting Global Capital: Partnerships for a Fragmented World,” the event fostered dialogue on key issues shaping the global economic landscape, including technology and artificial intelligence (AI), sustainable finance, financial security for individuals, and the impact of geopolitics on the global economy. It also sought to strengthen connections between capital, technology, and investment opportunities, fostering collaboration to enhance competitiveness and build long-term economic resilience.
