Debate on the Global Economy: Forging Resilient and Dynamic Economies for the Future

Held under the theme “Forging Resilient and Dynamic Economies for the Future,” the discussion brought together global leaders, including Dr. Kristalina Georgieva, Managing Director of the IMF; Dr. Ekniti Nitithanprapas, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance of Thailand; Mr. Kyriakos Pierrakakis, President of the Eurogroup and Minister of Economy and Finance of Greece; Mr. Luis Caputo, Minister of Economy of Argentina; and Mr. Olayemi Cardoso, Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria. They exchanged perspectives on strengthening economic resilience, fostering dynamism, and preparing economies to navigate future challenges.

The session covered a wide range of topics, including geopolitical challenges, digital transformation, demographic shifts, and evolving global trade dynamics. The discussion also highlighted the importance of balancing short-term policies to address growing uncertainties with long-term reforms that lay the foundation for sustainable and inclusive growth, while leveraging the potential of AI to unlock new opportunities and drive future economic development.
