The International Monetary Fund (IMF), together with the World Bank Group, organized a Media Workshop to enhance journalists’ understanding of the 2026 IMF–World Bank Group Annual Meetings.

The workshop featured presentations by Mr. Nadhavudh Dharmasiri, Deputy Director of Fiscal Policy Office (FPO), Ministry of Finance and Ms. Chayawadee Chai-Anant, Assistant Governor of Corporate Relations and Spokesperson of the Bank of Thailand (BOT). The event was held as part of the “Road to Thailand” initiative, leading up to Thailand’s role as host of the Annual Meetings from 12–18 October 2026. The meetings will be held under the theme “Thailand’s New Horizons: Empowering People, Building Resilience,” which emphasizes the importance of people as the heart of national development and economic growth.
