The Prime Minister emphasized that the 2026 IMF-World Bank Group Annual Meetings represent one of the world’s most significant economic and financial forums, comparable to a “financial and fiscal Olympics” that will place Thailand in the international spotlight. Thailand has been selected to host the Annual Meetings for the second time, making it one of only three countries in the world to have hosted the event twice. This reflects the confidence and strong interest the international community places in Thailand’s role in global economic, financial, and fiscal affairs.
