Dr. Ekniti Nitithanprapas, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance; Mr. Vitai Ratanakorn, Governor of the Bank of Thailand; Mr. Nikorn Soemklang, Minister of Social Development and Human Security; and Dr. Kobsak Pootrakool, CODI Board Chairperson welcomed Kristalina Georgieva, IMF Managing Director and more than 150 IMF staff members to a CSR activity and the opening of the Community Learning Center at the Bo Farang Rim Nam community.
The IMF staffs participated in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities, including making notebooks from recycled paper with Paper Ranger for children and preparing relief packages with the SOS Foundation for members of the community.
The event also marked the opening of the Bo Farang Rim Nam Community Learning Center, a renovated building that had been in use for over 30 years. The center now provides a space for learning and skill development for children and young people, with digital equipment donated by the IMF for community use.
