(Deadline Extended) Be Part of the Largest Global Event Ever Hosted by Thailand.

The Ministry of Finance and the Bank of Thailand invite undergraduate students aged 18–22 to apply as volunteers for the International Monetary Fund and World Bank Group Annual Meetings 2026 which Thailand is honored to host in Bangkok from 12–18 October 2026.

To broaden application opportunities, however, recruitment is being expanded, covering the following applicants:

  • Students about to enter a bachelor’s degree program, or
  • Undergraduate students currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in the academic year 2026, or
  • Undergraduate students expected to graduate with a bachelor’s degree in 2026

The deadline is now extended for more than 200 volunteer positions, with the application window being 1-31 May 2026. Selected applicants may have the opportunity to join the following teams:

  • Event Services (meeting rooms, catering) and Hotels
  • Liaison
  • Transportation
  • Security
  • Registration
  • IT and Audiovisual Services
  • Central Coordination and Secretariat
  • Thailand Pavilion
  • Publication

Volunteers who successfully fulfill their duties under the program will receive a certificate of participation in the IMF-World Bank Group Annual Meetings 2026.

Volunteer Requirements

  • Be Thai nationals
  • Meet the following criteria;
    • High School, or equivalent level, students accepted into a bachelor’s degree programme
    • Undergraduate students currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree
    • Undergraduate students expected to graduate with a bachelor’s degree in 2026
  • Demonstrate a strong service mindset, responsibility, and punctuality.
  • Possess strong interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills.
  • Be in good physical health and able to assist others as required.
  • Have very good command of Thai and English; proficiency in additional languages is an advantage.
  • Have not previously been selected to work with a Professional Conference Organizer (PCO) of the AM2026.

How to Apply

Applicants are required to prepare and submit the following documents:

  1. Application Form — available for download at: shorturl.at/8pSVg
  2. Copy of National Identification Card
  3. Academic Transcript
  4. An English essay (maximum 1 A4 page, not exceeding 400 words) under the topic: “Based on your academic experiences and participation in extracurricular activities during your university years, which experiences do you think have trained you to be a volunteer in this program?”
  5. An English essay (maximum 1 A4 page, not exceeding 450 words) under the topic: “What are your expectations in participating in the 2026 International Monetary Fund and the World Bank Group Annual Meetings as a volunteer?”
